All of us have been called personally by your name. He also called us with a purpose. When God unfolds the purpose it might have many activities and need not be just one.
In some cases, God discloses the purpose on the outset of our calling itself. God revealed the plan of Paul in the outset of his conversion but, it took many years for him to start the ministry.
More is your preparation more is your responsibility. it has nothing to do with being famous. In fact, we shouldn’t become famous. We exalt Jesus alone not ourselves. I have seen Bible preachers who do more miracles than Benny Hinn. I have seen Bible preachers who reach out to the lost than Benny Hinn do. Yet such preachers are not famous. People became famous through much advertisement and they spent millions for maintaining their fame. So more responsibility need not be misinterpreted as being a famous minister. Today, I see many tongue-speaking ministers compete to become famous. Let them but we should exalt Jesus alone.
More suffering you faced more glory will be revealed. Suffering comes to us to test our faith. Let our focus be Jesus alone. We are burdened by many desires. One by one we should drop our worldly desires. When we run a race and if we carry lots of items like mobile phones, laptops, TV. Can we run successfully? We barely could walk then. If our focus is not God and we have divided attention in our pursuit of God, we are simply carrying unnecessary bags along with us. We need to get rid of such baggage. In Airport, first, we unload our baggage in checking counter then we are free. Let us drop all our desires which are not in alignment with our calling. How does God make us do it? By suffering.
God gives a divine desire to do something. In my case, he gave me a desire to read the Bible. I have been reading the Bible for the last 14 years diligently. Then, he gave me the desire to share the word through Whatsapp and FB. Step by step, I am moving. Now, I am working on writing books. See, there is a God-given desire to do something. It may not look great in the beginning.
“So I say to you, ask and keep on asking, and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking, and you will find; knock and keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” (Luke 11:9, AMP)
Once you receive a Godly desire, pray about it diligently. Bible also tells us not to despise the humble beginning of a servant of God.
Let us consider David as an example. He was anointed as a king in his teenage itself. Did he become king immediately? No. Rather, he faced much suffering. He became the king of Judah first and later the king of Israel and Judah. God was preparing him in the waiting time through suffering. It is wrong to say God will not take us through the wilderness.
Matthew 4:1 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
Even Jesus was led to the wilderness to pray and fast for 40 days and nights. After that, he started the ministry. When you go through the wilderness be sure that he has a great purpose in your life and also remember that it is not about being famous.
We should always pray more of His anointing upon us. We need more of God in our life so badly.
Luke 11:13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"
We should ask for more of the Holy Spirit in our daily life. How often have you prayed for more of anointing in your life? We need his fresh anointing each day. We should not do anything by our own strength but through the grace by Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our God who imparts life and grace. We should grow in our anointing.
When you are opposed so heavily by your pastors or others. consider it a joy. David was pursued by King Saul to be killed out of the Jealousy. Some pastors may slander you out of jealousy after identifying your anointing and calling. I cannot allow a young man to replace me. In such times, be of good cheer and know that God has a greater purpose in our life. Even a better calling than your pastor like what happened in the life of King David. Such opposition itself is the proof you are on the right path.
Luke 6:26 Woe to you when everyone speaks well of you,
for that is how their ancestors treated the false prophets.
Everyone may not speak well of you when you obey God. There are a few who would support amid trouble and if none, Almighty Holy Spirit is in you. The one who created Heavens and Earth is in you favouring you.
Sometimes, God would make us wait for a prolonged time. Moses took 40 years to be trained to deliver Israel. If you are waiting for many years, probably, it is more of deliverance ministry awaiting you. Mighty miracles and deliverance ministry await you. More is your waiting more is miracles in your ministry. Nobody did miracles like Moses in OT. After Moses, it was Jesus who did the greatest miracles.
The suffering, wilderness experience, waiting, opposition, desires are the identifiers of our calling. These things mould us to meet our destiny.
